A brand activation screams ‘meaningless marketing buzzword’, but don’t be fooled! Activation is a term used to describe experiences or interactions a person has with a brand, and they are very effective at building popularity and giving the customer an experience that makes them feel a connection with the company.
An activation might be an in-store retail marketing campaign, a product sampling, a sponsorship or an experiential event, as examples.
When planning an activation it’s imperative that the campaign develops a face-to-face conversation with your potential customers. It can allow them to provide feedback on what to change or improve, or bring to life an ageing product or brand. Activations are also helpful with positioning your brand in the minds of your consumer and can also cut through advertising clutter.
